Designated Market Areas explained
The United States is divided into roughly 210 Designated Market Areas — DMAs — and each one has its own set of network affiliate stations. The ABC station in Dallas is a different broadcaster from the ABC station in Seattle, running different local news, different commercials and sometimes different syndicated programming. When people say "my local channels," this is what they mean.
We carry affiliates from every major DMA in the country. When you order, tell us your city or ZIP and we map your account to the right market, so your guide opens on your stations instead of a generic national feed.
Regional sports networks are the real reason people switch
National packages cover the marquee games. Your team's other 150 games are on a regional sports network — YES for the Yankees, NESN for the Red Sox and Bruins, MSG for the Knicks and Rangers, MASN for the Orioles and Nationals, the Bally Sports regionals across much of the South and Midwest, Root Sports in the Northwest.
These are precisely the channels that cord-cutting streaming services have historically dropped or charged extra for, and they're included here at no additional cost. If a specific RSN is your main reason for subscribing, confirm it with us before ordering — carriage does shift between markets, and we'd rather tell you upfront than have you find out afterwards.

The programme guide is synced to all six US time zones. Set yours once in your player and start times display correctly. This matters more than it sounds: a Sunday 1pm Eastern kickoff is 10am Pacific, and a guide showing the wrong offset makes scheduling genuinely confusing.
Catch-up TV works across zones too, so if you were out during a game you can go back and watch it from the guide rather than hunting for a replay.
Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico
All three are covered. Alaska and Hawaii each get their own EPG offset. Because these locations sit further from our mainland servers, round-trip latency is naturally higher, so we suggest a bit more headroom on your connection — 15 Mbps for HD and 30 Mbps for 4K rather than the mainland 10 and 25. Most modern connections in Anchorage or Honolulu clear that comfortably.
